Principal's Message

Hello and welcome!

It is my pleasure to welcome you as a prospective parent and member of the Cootamundra Public School community.

Our school is located on Gudhamangdhuray Wiradjuri land in the wonderful township of Cootamundra.

Each day at school our students follow the school expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, Learners. Staff and students also follow our ethos of ‘Yindyamarra’ which is a Wiradjuri word for respect - encouraging us to be gentle, care for our environment, and respect those around us.

At Cootamundra Public School we want school to be a wonderful experience for all children, and the staff team work hard to provide an environment where students are encouraged to build a love for learning, show kindness towards others, build independence, and enjoy being curious.

For children to learn and thrive they will need the support and encouragement of us all. At Cootamundra Public School, home, school, and community are all interconnected, and we aim to build strong partnerships with you over your child’s time here. Together we can make a remarkable contribution to the social, emotional, and academic growth of our children as they grow, learn and play as part of this wonderful school community.

Ms Lucy Greene, Principal of Cootamundra Public School
