Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole school program that actively promotes positive behaviour.
It enables students to develop:
- a clear understanding of required expectations
- become responsible for their own behaviour
- work together to create a positive, productive and harmonious learning community
Cootamundra Public School commenced PBL in 2014 and students continue to embrace our school expectations.
Students following the values associated with being Respectful, Responsible, Learners can collect our colour coded PBL tokens (Coota Cards) from staff in the playground or classroom
To be respectful we - Follow expectations, use kind words and caring actions, take care of property, share spaces with others.
To be responsible we - Follow expectations, are in the right place at the right time, allow others to learn, seek support if needed, care for our environment
To be learners we - Follow instructions, apply a growth mindset, challenge ourselves, learn from every opportunity, learn from and with others
Students are working towards whole school rewards for positive behaviour by trying to earn as many tokens as they can.
